Law enforcement believes two men were trying to extract concentrated cannabis from marijuana plants in the garage of a home in East Hemet. An explosion resulted sending flames throughout the home and a dark plume of smoke through the roof. The explosion was compounded when the flames ignited nearby ammunition located next to the lab. Most of the home was destroyed and law enforcement officers are currently working to locate the suspects. The explosion highlights the dangers that drugs pose to our communities.
